These crispy spiced turmeric air fryer chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are made with olive oil, curry, turmeric, cumin, black pepper and sea salt.

They can be made in both the Air Fryer and in the oven – two simple cooking methods that still give you that crispy texture that will keep you coming back for more! Air Fryer garbanzo beans can be enjoyed as a snack, in salads, or even in soup.

Crispy Spiced Turmeric Air Fryer Chickpeas

Prep time: 5 min

Cook time: 30 min

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans chickpeas
  • 2 teaspoons curry
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

Air fryer

  1. Dry beans, then add to the Air Fryer at 400F for 20 min.
  2. In the mean time add all the ingredients except the oil in a small bowl and combine well.
  3. Once beans are complete dry and hot in a bowl mix them with the oil then pour the spices and mix well.
  4. Put back in the air fryer and cook for another 5-10 minutes until browned and crispy.

Oven

  1. Pre-heat oven at 400F.
  2. Place garbanzo beans in a cooking sheet.
  3. Dry them in the oven for 25 min.
  4. Once beans are complete dry and hot in a bowl mix them with the oil then pour the spices and mix well.
  5. Put back in the air fryer and cook for another 5-10 minutes until browned and Crispy.
