Anti-Inflammatory Meal with EO3 to Reduce Inflammation

This anti-inflammatory meal is full of colorful plant-based foods and paired with an omega-3-rich ready-to-drink smoothie, EO3.

Inflammation is American’s deadliest disease and is a silent killer. If you can believe it, 3 out of 5 people in the world die because of a chronic inflammatory disease, such as diabetes, obesity, arthritis, heart disease, and even some cancers. These numbers are alarming! So let’s take a look at how to reduce inflammation naturally.

I have partnered with Enhanced Omega-3 to share with you an anti-inflammatory meal idea that incorporates an anti-inflammatory ready-to-drink smoothie, EO3. For 10% off your EO3 use code Manuel10.

Acute vs. Chronic Inflammation

So, let’s first talk about the two different types of inflammation: acute and chronic.

Acute inflammation is a good thing that happens to protect us. For example, when you get a cut. It becomes “inflamed” as part of our body’s healing response, and eventually goes away.

Now, chronic inflammation is a completely different story. This is the one that I referred to as the “silent killer.” Your immune system is turned on, never shuts off, and causes your body to constantly release inflammatory chemicals. This type of inflammation involves your entire body and over time, it can lead to chronic diseases.

Chronic inflammation is caused by a poor diet, lifestyle habits such as smoking and alcohol intake, and excess visceral fat

How to Reduce Chronic Inflammation

The good news is that you can prevent or reduce chronic inflammation. But you may be wondering how? Two of the top ways are to:

  • lose excess visceral fat
  • eat anti-inflammatory foods

Visceral fat is the fat that is primarily around your waistline, and inside around your organs.

People always focus so much on cutting things out, instead of what to add to their diet. While there are many pro-inflammatory foods to be aware of like fried and processed foods, it’s all about balance and highlighting the good foods as well.

List of Anti-Inflammatory Superfoods

The great news is that some of the most powerful anti-inflammatory foods may already be in your kitchen! When you think of anti-inflammatory superfoods, I want you to think of:

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Legumes
  • Whole grains
  • Good fats like omega-3s
  • Herbs and spices

These foods contain antioxidants and phytonutrients that are naturally anti-inflammatory.

Why I Paired EO3 With This Meal

Pairing a colorful plant-based salad with EO3 gives an omega-3 boost in addition to the protein needed for my meal. Each serving of EO3 provides 20g of protein.

EO3 also has 1,600 mg of omega-3s in each ready-to-drink smoothie. Omega-3s are good fats that provide a natural way to reduce chronic inflammation.

And to top it off, the antioxidants in EO3 also add more power to fight chronic inflammation, and to prevent and fight many types of diseases.

How to Make This Anti-Inflammatory Meal

First, you’re going to cook your farro according to the package and add it to the fridge so that it can cool. I recommend doing this earlier in the day or the night before.

Then add your arugula as your salad base. Toss in the chilled farro, blueberries, radishes, shredded carrots and avocado.

To top it off, add the sunflower seeds, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sea salt and black pepper. Then enjoy with EO3.
