Papaya Carrot Ginger Smoothie for Digestion & Bloating

We all feel the aftermath of the Thanksgiving dishes – even me. So I’ve created a simple solution. This papaya carrot smoothie can help you reduce the uncomfortable bloating from all of the holiday festivities.

The carefully chosen fruit, vegetables, spices, and other ingredients in this papaya carrot smoothie help reduce bloating by helping with digestion. Now let’s take a look at why.

Papaya Carrot Smoothie for Digestion

Papaya contains an enzyme called papain, and when paired with ginger, it aids with digestion. Probiotic foods like Greek yogurt also help to keep a healthy gut. This smoothie is low sodium and high potassium, which reduces water retention from all the high sodium food eaten over the weekend.

Papaya Smoothie Benefits

There are many benefits of this delicious papaya carrot smoothie including:

  • Aids digestion

Weight Loss

If you’re looking for a simple meal or snack to add to your weight loss plan, this is a great option! Not only does it help with digestion and bloating, but it can also help monitor your hunger. It’s a nutrient-packed meal with high protein. There are a few key things to consider for a good smoothie for weight loss:

  • Quality carbohydrates with fiber
  • Lean protein
  • Healthy fats

Many people refer to papaya smoothies as a detox smoothie because of these benefits.

How to Make a Papaya Smoothie

This smoothie is simple to make. If you have a whole papaya, you’ll first need to cut your papaya in half and remove the seeds. Then cut it into cubes. Next slice your carrots, orange, and ginger. Add coconut milk, protein powder (if you want a boost of protein), Greek yogurt, and chia seeds, and you have a papaya smoothie!
