During this difficult and uncertain time, many people are trying to capitalize off of your fear and panic to sell you something, promote their own diet ideals or just put out inaccurate information in general. Well, I am here to set the record straight.
As a registered dietitian I can tell you for sure, no food can keep you from getting the virus. So please, no matter what you choose to eat, still follow the CDC’s guidelines:
- Clean your hands often
- Avoid close contact with others
- Stay home if you are sick
However, I can show you some foods to help support your immune system as well as show you foods that are okay to eat if you have limited access to groceries during this time.
