Grilled Peach Turkey Melt

This sandwich is made with grilled peaches which is an in-season stone fruit. I always shop at my local farmer’s market to find out which fruit and vegetables are in-season. These peaches are sure to add some moisture to your sandwiches! 

Servings: 1

Serving Size: 1 sandwich 

Ingredients: 

1/2 peach, pitted, sliced
2 slices whole wheat bread
1 ounce olive oil butter
2 slices gouda cheese
3 ounces smoke turkey breast, sliced

Directions: 

1. In a cast iron skillet, grill slices peaches over low heat. Grill each side for 2-3 minutes. Set aside. 
2. In a non- stick pan, add olive oil butter over medium heat. Assemble sandwich: bread, turkey, cheese, peaches, and bread. Place sandwich onto pan and cover with lid. After 3 minutes, turn the sandwich around to brown the other side for an additional 3 minutes.
3. Remove sandwich from pan and enjoy!
