I am internationally recognized, award-winning registered dietitian nutritionist with more than 18 years of experience. I am the author of five books, four nutrition, wellness and weight loss books and one cookbook. I am honored to be a trusted voice in the health and wellness industry and a national media spokesperson for several food commodities and brands.
I am also the founder of Whole Body Reboot, an iPhone and desktop app that tracks food, exercise, and behaviors to determine optimal caloric intake and macronutrients for the users’ goals, and the owner of San Francisco-based private practice, MV Nutrition. Making a Difference
Back in 2017, I felt a strong urge to give back. I decided to lead a fundraiser for girls in my beloved Peru.
The Chicuchas Wasi School for Girls is a school where girls are given a free education. They were provided lunch, but for most of them, that was the only meal they would get all day.
My goal was to donate and raise money to provide two nutritious, hot meals to 110 girls for the entire year to nourish them during their journey to a better education.
Visiting these girls, getting to know them, but best of all, getting to return a year later to give them all of the money I raised was the most fulfilling leadership experience of my life.
