Hello, My name is Cassie and I am 32 years old and a Stay at home mother with 3 children; two of which are young and keep me pretty occupied! Even though they keep me so busy I found that over the last few years I just couldn’t get that baby weight off and on top of that I gained a little more. When your a mom it is so hard to focus on yourself and your needs when you always put your children’s needs first and a few months ago I realized if I don’t focus some on me I won’t be here for for them and so started my search…

It all began with my New Years resolution like I make every year, “I am going to lose the weight this year”! I started off well enough and actually lost a few pounds the first month but I was killing myself doing it. I was jogging on the treadmill, workout DVD’s, practically starving myself and all in the name of losing weight! Of course after a month of torture and trying everything I could think of I noticed the scale starting to creep back up instead of down and I wanted to give up. It was so hard and disappointing to see all my hard work and deprivation mount to nothing. I did for a month completely give up and I went back to my old routine and practically overnight I was steadily gaining weight again. One day I was getting changed and my 5 year old little girl bluntly said, “Mommy your legs are really big and fat” and with those words it hit me like a ton of bricks I cannot give up I have to find a way to do this and that started my journey to here.

I started off actually looking for shows like “The biggest loser” or competition because I figured that would be a big incentive for me to lose the weight and make me really stick to it. I did find one show and they required that I have a Registered Dietitian to work with me. I did an online search and behold I find this website called “Eating Free” and I thought the program sounded wonderful and of course it’s run by a Registered Dietitian so it sounded like the perfect solution. The T.V. show didn’t work out but I decided to use the “Eating Free” program to see how well it would work for me.

After starting to read the Eating Free book, and talking to Manuel a couple of times, I started to see results immediately! As of today I have been using the program for a little over a month and I am very proud to announce I have already lost over 8 pounds! I have also been measuring myself and I have lost an 1 1/2 inch from my hips and 1 inch from my waist, my pants are baggy…wohoo! Folks, I am telling you this is the easiest I have ever lost weight in my entire life. I don’t even feel like I am doing anything and the weight is just melting off of me. I take little walks with my kids for exercise, and I am excited about cooking. I love making the meals and trying different combinations and not only do I love the food, my family loves it too. You do have to record keep and measure your portions but believe me it is well worth it. Just for a quick example, the same week that I started this program my mother and sister started their own program of working out in the gym 6 days a week and watching every single thing they put in their stomach. In one month I have lost more weight, with no struggle and I am loving my food! I am extremely happy with my program and I am so excited to see how much more I can lose in the coming months, I will post more in a month or 2 and we will see how well I am doing!
